What is the ultimate goal? Who do you look at and think "girl you've got it all!"? I don't know about you, but for me it has always been Hallmark movie stars. These movies sure have the best wardrobes, hair stylists, make up artists, ... Everything is always on point. When things get complicated in my life, watching a Hallmark movie completely changes my mood.
But when you think about it, it doesn't require hiking to the top of a mountain to follow these simple steps and achieve the Hallmark girl look.
1. Make up
This one may not be obvious but it is the easiest one to follow. One thing that I've always admired watching Hallmark movies, is the actresses' flawless make up. I would describe it as fresh and effortless but I wouldn't neglect any steps of the make up.
2. Eyebrows
An ultimate step of your Hallmark grooming routine should involve eyebrows. Keep them natural. I would recommend using an eyebrow pencil as well as a transparent mascara to keep the brows in shape. Don't forget to keep tweezers on hand for rebellious hairs.
3.Nails
It is time consuming, but even if it's a sheer coat of "Ballet Slippers" from Essie, it will be worth the effort. Have you ever seen a Hallmark girl without nail polish?
4. Hair
Bring all your favorite hair products to town because Hallmark girls don't mess with their hair. The blowout look is iconic and will never die. A round brush, a blow dryer on blast, your favorite hair spray and you're set.
5. Clothes
This step really depends on the season. But one thing is for sure, you don't have to hide in all black everything anymore. Those days are gone and you shouldn't shy away from a colorful sweater. However don't go crazy, stay classy. A simple bright pink sweater can do the trick in spring or summer. Wear those colors with confidence. I noticed in Hallmark movies that it's all about where and how you wear a piece of clothing more than what you wear.
6. Jewelry
When it comes to jewelry, it is not necessarily about whether they are real or not but I would prioritize quality over quantity. Unless it's a statement piece, a simple chain or bracelet will still show you have taste.
7. A comfy heel is better than no heels
This is not an absolute rule but I did notice that no matter the outfit, most Hallmark actresses wear hills.
